Facelift: Rhytidectomy

A facelift may help to enhance the appearance of your face by improving visible signs of aging such as:

  • Sagging in the mid-face

  • Deep creases below the lower eyelids

  • Deep creases along the nose extending to the corner of the mouth

  • Fat that has fallen or is displaced

  • Loose skin and fatty deposits under the jaw and chin causing jowling and neck waddle

Many times, individuals choose to have other facial procedures done along with a facelift, including brow lifts, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes.

A facelift may be right for you if:

  • You are physically healthy

  • You don’t smoke

  • You have a positive outlook and specific, but realistic goals for the outcome of your surgery
