What is Sculptra?
Sculptra Aesthetic, or poly-L-lactic acid, is a unique facial injectable that stimulates collagen, helping to replenish lost volume. Sculptra Aesthetic is the only volumizer scientifically designed to stimulate natural collagen growth.
Am I a good candidate for Sculptra?
Most people with healthy immune systems are good candidates for Sculptra. Exceptions are those people allergic to any ingredient of the product or have a history of scarring on the skin as a result of injury or surgery. It should not be used in areas where you have an active skin infection or swelling, the red area of the lips, or near the eyes. Do not have treatment if you are pregnant, lactating, breastfeeding, or under the age of 18.
What can I expect from Sculptra?
Following a series of treatments, Sculptra Aesthetic replaces collagen lost during the aging process. With Sculptra Aesthetic, you can expect to see a subtle, steady improvement in lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful look that lasts more than 2 years. Sculptra aesthetic won’t immediately reveal that you have had “work done.”
How long is recovery from Sculptra?
After treatment, you may experience some injection site discomfort, redness, bruising, bleeding, itching and swelling. Most of these post procedure reactions are typically mild and will resolve in approximately 7-10 days.
