Dr. Dodde is a board-certified plastic surgeon through the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is trained in all aspects of the specialty, including cosmetic, reconstructive and craniofacial surgery.
Dr. Dodde’s decision to pursue plastic surgery came from his passion and talent for art, as well as his desire to improve people’s lives. Being a sculptor gives him a unique perspective on plastic surgery. He has an innate awareness of form and a meticulous eye for detail.
“There are several similarities between the art of sculpting in clay and the art of reshaping the human body to meet an aesthetic goal; however, in plastic surgery, it is imperative that you pursue the patient’s desired goals, that is where the art of listening comes in,” Dr. Dodde believes.
Dr. Dodde received his training in plastic surgery at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, under the direction of Dr. Ian Jackson, a world-renowned plastic surgeon and an innovator in craniofacial surgery.
Dr. Dodde earned his medical degree from Wayne State University. He received his undergraduate degree from Hope College.
