Do you want to treat your moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, or enhance your lips (patients must be 21 or older)? Dr. Ryan E. Dodde, II may recommend Restylane for patients from Holland, Grand Rapids, Muskegon or surrounding areas.
What is Restylane?
Restylane injectable filler is a hyaluronic acid with lidocaine and is used for lip enhancement, diminishing wrinkles and aging lines of the face, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. It is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally.
Am I a good candidate for Restylane?
Restylane should not be used by people with previous bad allergies, particularly to microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria or by people with serious allergies to drugs that have previously required in-hospital treatment. Restylane should not be used by people allergic to lidocaine or with bleeding disorders.
What can I expect from Restylane?
Restylane temporarily adds volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6-12 months depending on the individual and the treatment.
How long is the recovery from Restylane?
Following treatment, there may be some swelling, redness, pain, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. These symptoms are typically mild and last less than 7-14 days dependent upon treatment site.
