Laser hair removal is a great way to ensure smooth, hairless skin for years to come.
How does laser hair removal work?
At Plastic Surgery Arts of West Michigan, we’re proud to complete laser hair removal treatments with the Cynosure Elite Laser. This type of laser penetrates deeper than other types and works quickly to provide long-lasting, great results.
During the session, hair is removed by a highly concentrated beam of light that’s aimed at the hair follicles. The pigment in the follicles absorbs this light, which then destroys the hair. This leaves smooth, sleek skin.
Laser Hair Removal Results and Recovery
After you receive your laser hair removal treatment, the skin around the area will feel slightly sunburned for a few days. You can use cool compresses and moisturizers to diminish this effect. Occasionally, blisters may occur, but these are rare.
During the weeks following the treatment, the hair in the treated area will fall out, leaving you with smooth skin.
After your procedure, it’s key to avoid damaging the skin. Reduce sun exposure and be sure to wear sunscreen.
