Stop Frown Lines with Dysport®

When it comes to aging, even mundane facial movements can be your worst enemy. That’s because, over time, these muscles carve out wrinkles and folds in the skin that can seem impossible to get rid of without a forehead lift or other expensive skin-tightening procedures. Fortunately, Dysport® can help make sure those grooves and lines between the eyebrows are smooth and frown-free.

What is Dysport®?

Dysport® uses botulinum toxin type A, which blocks receptors in the muscles and prevents movement. If your frown lines are the result of constant movement and tension, Dysport® can help smooth them out and prevent them from becoming deeper. These grooves between the eyebrows can often make you appear angry, tired, and older, even if you don’t feel like it. You don’t need to worry about feeling stiff or stuffed with Dysport®, as it will only prohibit movement in specific muscles that your aesthetician will target.

Who should consider Dysport®?

Anyone under the age of 65 who is unhappy with frown lines can greatly benefit from Dysport®. This injection is a safe and effective way to take a few years off of your profile and can easily be combined with other procedures like dermal fillers to add volume and get further results. Be sure to let your aesthetician know of any allergies you might have.

What are the results like?

Dysport® lasts for up to 4 months and requires only one 15-minute session to get your results. Because it’s an injection, there’s no downtime required and may only come with some redness, swelling, and irritation. Be sure not to massage or rub the injection site, because this can cause the material to spread to other, unwanted areas and cause facial drooping. Dysport® requires very specific injection locations, so be sure that your aesthetician has the appropriate training and experience in administering Dysport® injections. Afterwards, Dysport® doesn’t cause you to look ‘frozen’, so you can retain your natural facial movement.
